We need your help!!

We are delighted to have been selected to receive an award from the Co-op Local Fund BUT how much we receive towards this buggy depends on how many votes we get, so please vote for us!!
We want to use this money to purchase a golf buggy designed to take a wheelchair around the estate. This will make a massive difference to wheelchair users when they visit Cambo, enabling them to explore the garden and woodlands and take part in our events and activities.

Development Manager – Events and Outreach

Cambo Heritage Trust

Job Description

Job Title:                             Development Manager – Events and Outreach
Salary:                                  £28,000 - £32,000, depending on experience
Hours:                                  35 hrs/week (f/t) with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends
Type of Contract:             3 year contract initially
Reporting to:                     Chairman of the Trustees, Cambo Heritage Trust

Background:
Cambo Heritage Trust, a registered charity SC028131 operating from Cambo Estate, Fife, offers opportunities for learning and volunteering in heritage, environment, arts, culture and horticulture.

The Stables is a major capital restoration project, re-purposing disused estate buildings; the historic Stables, adjacent Glasshouses and Walled garden. The project is ‘brought alive’ through a focussed programme of events and activities, to be delivered by a new staff team and in partnership with local groups. The 3-year Activity Plan aims to safeguard and increase public access to this unique community asset and offers growing opportunities for local groups and individuals to engage with the arts, culture, environment and heritage at Cambo. The Stables Project is match-funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Historic Scotland, Coastal Communities Fund and a portfolio of other large & small, local & national Trusts & Foundations, private donors and community fundraising.

In October 2015, work commenced onsite. Phase 1, the first discrete element of restoration work to the Glasshouses will complete Spring 2016. Phase 2 will focus on the Stables’ North Courtyard ‘inclusion and enterprise hub’ for volunteers and trainees, a ‘learning loft’ for schools and other community groups, cafĂ©, gift shop and social enterprise outlet. Interpretation, essential traffic management and a new carpark, will complete this major capital project. Pending successful tender and engagement of contractor(s), we anticipate starting Phase 2 capital works early in 2016, with the Stables becoming fully operational in 2017.

A wide range of inclusive community-focussed events and activities, maximising the environmental and built heritage at Cambo, for educational and creative community benefit, is ongoing. Cambo Heritage Trust’s current activity, events and outreach are delivered by a growing team of staff, volunteers and advisors, as well as significant in-kind support from Cambo Estate.

About the post:
This post will combine identified responsibilities covering Project Management, Events and Marketing, Partnership Development, Arts/Culture and Heritage Outreach, as well as Fundraising. The post-holder will further support and directly line-manage up to three members of Stables staff.
